KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- Authorities in Kannapolis are asking the public's help in identifying the suspects responsible for two armed robberies over the last week.
The first was late in the night of Friday, November 9, at the Wilco Hess convenience store in the 2400 block of South Cannon Boulevard.
Police say three men robbed the two clerks on duty at gunpoint. Officials say the first suspect was wearing a toboggan, dark jacket with white sleeves with a Chrysler emblem on the back. He is described as having some sort of facial hair.
The other two suspects were wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts, one wearing a full faced toboggan and gloves, while the other wore a dark baseball cap and gloves.
About an hour later, officials say the Kangaroo Express on Main Street in China grove was robbed by suspects with matching descriptions.
Early Wednesday morning, just after midnight, the Rushco in the 2500 block of North Cannon Boulevard was also robbed at gunpoint. The first suspect in this armed robbery is described as wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt over a full-faced toboggan and gloves. The second suspect also wore a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and gloves, and a medical mask to hide his face.
Police say a shotgun was used to hold-up all three convenience stores.
