STANLY COUNTY, N.C. -- The Stanly County Sheriff's Office has charged a New London man in connection with the theft of 19 firearms.
The victim in the case told authorities she believed her daughter's boyfriend, 35-year-old Charles Ronald Armeen, was responsible for the thefts of 19 firearms from her gun safe in October 2012.
The Stanly County Sheriff's Office has since recovered five of the stolen firearms, which are being held as evidence.
Armeen is charged in Stanly County for felony larceny of a firearm. In Rowan County, Armeen is charged with several counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Armeen on Monday. He's held on a $2500 bond.
