DENVER, N.C. – Detectives with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department are looking for the man who robbed a bank on S. Highway 16 in Denver Monday morning.

The armed robbery call came into the Communications Center around 9:45 a.m.

Investigators say a white male armed with a gun came into the First Citizens Bank, demanded money and then fled with the cash. He’s described as 6-feet, 30-years-old and roughly 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray plaid shirt, sunglasses and a red hat.

Investigators say the suspect is also missing a portion of his index finger on his right hand.

The suspect was last seen on Highway 73, heading towards Mecklenburg County. He was in a vehicle that may have been a silver Toyota Corolla.
