PINEVILLE, N.C. -- Pineville Police are investigating a daring theft inside of Carolina Place Mall that occurred Sunday June 30.

Someone broke into two cellphone company kiosks the T-Mobile and Sprint locations at the Dillard's end of the mall.

"About 40 to 45 minutes after the mall closed a man came in and went behind a couple of kiosks and was able to open up a bunch of different drawers and stole some electronic devices," said Lieutenant S.C. Copley of the Pineville Police.

Police in Charlotte, Rock Hill, Ft Mill, Tega Cay, and York County Sheriff's Deputies have been working to solve a series of burglaries at cell phone stores.

Pineville Police released a photo of the man involved in their cases. Investigators wonder if there is a connection with other recent cases.

"There is always a good possibility of that, we definitely have good communication between neighboring jurisdictions we are comparing notes," said the Lieutenant.
