LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. -- Two suspects are in custody and warrants have been issued for a third after a break-in in Lincoln County.
It happened on Jan. 25 at the Triple B One Stop in the 2800 block of NC 274 Highway in Cherryville.
Deputies say a man broke into the business through a small window as another waited outside the store. The man inside the store allegedly grabbed cash and other items and passed them out to the man outside.
Various leads took police to a mobile home on nearby Charleston Trail.
Police took 18-year-old Toby Jones, 21-year-old Christopher Laughter and 20-year-old Michael Matney into custody. They’re each charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Matney is currently being held in the Cleveland County Jail on a probation violation. Warrants have been issued and not yet served for him.
The others were booked into jail.
