CONCORD, N.C. -- Police have identified two victims killed in a triple shooting in Concord Tuesday afternoon.
Concord police said 49-year-old James Luther Blanks and 55-year-old Sharon Cook were found shot to death around 3:15 p.m. and a third person, Timothy Lavaun Crumitie, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Timothy Crumitie and Sharon Crumitie were husband and wife, according to police.
Timothy Crumitie told police he became involved in a struggle with Blanks after being shot and was able to take the gun away from him.
Crumitie was then able to shoot Blanks during the fight and called 911, according to police.
Police are investigating to determine any connection between Blanks and the Crumities that existed prior to Tuesday's incident.
Dozens of relatives gathered on Gibson Drive near the home and some speculated that the motive was robbery.
Darren Davis told NBC Charlotte there was a fourth person inside the home at the time of the shooting who was not hurt.
"There was a lady with Alzheimer's -- she wouldn't know what was going on," he said
