Trio arrested after New Year's Day shoplifting spree

GASTONIA, N.C. –  Police arrested a trio after they went on a suspected shoplifting spree.
 

According to a police report obtained by NBC Charlotte, the incident happened New Year’s Day at TJ Maxx, Ulta Beauty, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
 

Officials say the suspects stole two sets of ping pong paddles, bras and men’s cologne.  The items stolen totaled $214.
 

Officials arrested Tammy Michelle Saunders, 46, Brandon Dean Pressley, 16, and 27-year-old Frederick Steven Black.
 

All of the businesses listed are located side by side at 415 Cox Road.
 

The report states the group stole the items and carried them away from the property without paying.  All three were arrested and face multiple charges including shoplifting and concealing goods.
