CONCORD, N.C. – Police made a third arrest Friday for the murder of a Concord teenager.
Police charged two brothers, 18-year-old Corey Levi Banner and 25-year-old Marlon Tyrese Banner with first-degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Mark Bostic Jr. Thursday night at their home.
Investigators then arrested 19-year-old Christopher Whitfiled Friday afternoon, also for a first-degree murder charge.
Police said Bostic was shot at Corban Avenue and Crowell Drive SW near downtown Concord while riding in a car on Sunday.
Investigators said the shooting was probably the result of an argument that started a few blocks away. When the victim and others left the scene, they were followed by another car.
All three suspects are now being held in the Cabarrus County Jail.
