CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. -- A former student of Central Cabarrus High School is facing seven charges stemming from a vandalism at the school on Friday morning.
James Robert Berry, 20, is charged with felony breaking and entering into a building, three counts of breaking and entering into vehicles, defacing public property, possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol under 21.
Authorities say Central Cabarrus High School was defaced around 4 a.m. on Friday.
Police say Berry broke into the school, damaged two computers, broke into two refrigerators and discarded everything in them and broke into two vehicles.
Officials estimate the damages to be around $7,000.
Berry is held in the Cabarrus County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
He's due in court February 4.
