MONROE, N.C. – Two men were arrested in connection to vandalism that occurred Thursday night into Friday morning; warrants have been issued for a third man.
Police arrested Nicholas Sutta, 32, and Jamie Houchins, 33, Saturday morning. Warrants were obtained for a third suspect, 37-year-old Shawn Donald Pruitt.
Authorities tell NewsChannel 36 the men spray painted racial images and acronyms on several businesses and vehicles throughout the City of Monroe causing thousands of dollars in damage.
All three suspects were caught on camera purchasing several cans of spray paint from the Monroe Walmart. Authorities say the same paint colors purchased were the same colors used in the crime.
The trio is facing 27 counts each of injury to real property and injury to personal property.
