CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for vandals who defaced a University City church.

Police said vandals spray painted a wall and the entrance way at the University City United Methodist Church over the weekend.

Vandals spray painted sayings such as 'open your mind before you open your doors' and 'a million dollars for the church...penny for the poor.'

Police have not made any arrests in this incident. If you have any info on this crime, you're asked to call CMPD at 704-336-7600.
