Woman wanted in WalMart wallet theft

BOONE, N.C. -- High County Crime Stoppers and Boone Police are looking to identify a woman who stole a wallet from a victim in WalMart.

Saturday evening around 6 p.m., police say a woman left her wallet at the cash register in the garden center at the WalMart in Boone.

Authorities say the pictured woman was the next person in line. They say the suspect picked up the victim's wallet and placed it inside of a shopping bag before leaving the store.

The suspect is described as having long black hear. She was seen wearing a dark jacket, dark pants and a light-colored scarf.

The suspect was accompanied by a white male who was wearing a camouflage jacket and blue jeans.
