BOONE, N.C. – Boone Police said they are increasing security after a student at Watauga High School made a threat against the school.
According to the Boone Police Department, detectives received a complaint around 3 p.m. Thursday in reference to the alleged threat. Police and school administrators said they have launched an investigation to determine who made the threat.
As a precaution, extra officers will be present at Watauga High Friday.
