Argument over truck leads to stabbing, police say

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. – An argument over a pickup truck led to a woman stabbing a man in Lincoln County overnight, deputies said.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Car Farm Road just after midnight Tuesday night. Before arriving at the scene, authorities were told by 911 dispatchers that a knife was used during the altercation.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found a man in a back bedroom suffering from a stab wound to the stomach. The man told deputies he and Connie Lynn Morgan were arguing over a truck with a blown engine before she stabbed him with a pocket knife.

Paramedics responded to the scene and took the man to the hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening. Morgan was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
