'Armed & dangerous' man wanted in Albemarle shooting

ALBEMARLE, N.C. -- The Albemarle Police Department says they're identified the trigger man in a shooting that left one man hospitalized, but he remains at large.

Albemarle Police says Thomas Michael Dunlap has been charged in connection with a shooting in the 2000 block of Calloway Street on Monday afternoon that left one man hospitalized.

The victim, Eugene Lane Scott, II, was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Dunlap is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Dunlap is to be considered armed and dangerous, police say.
