Cars vandalized in Gastonia neighborhood

Several cars in the neighborhood were targeted

GASTONIA, N.C. -- Residents in one Gastonia neighborhood are frustrated after discovering their vehicles vandalized Monday night into Tuesday morning.

According to police reports, at least three people in a neighborhood off Gardner Park Drive reported that someone smashed their windows, slashed their tires and keyed their cars.

Jessica Snavely said a pellet gun shattered her two driver's side windows.

"It blows my mind how somebody can just ruin your day like that because that's a shock," she said.

Neither her car nor the other cars had anything stolen, but Snavely has to pay for her repairs.

"To be a full-time college student, paying college loans, car payments and working two full-time jobs, it's really hard," she said. "It's just another bill I have to worry about."

Anyone with information on the cases can call Crime Stoppers of Gaston County at 704-861-8000.
