CFD Captain charged in road rage incident

CONCORD, N.C. -- A Charlotte Fire Captain is accused of pulling a gun on a woman during a road rage incident and is now facing assault charges.

The Charlotte Fire Department released a statement Wednesday saying they're aware of the incident and that it's currently under investigation.

Concord Police arrested 37-year-old Brent Mincey, of Salisbury, Tuesday night. He's charged with assault by pointing a gun; he's since been released on a $1000 bond.

Concord Police say Mincey pulled a gun on a woman during a road rage incident just before 8 Monday morning on Concord Parkway South and Pitts School Road, just down the road from the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
