CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested a man they say robbed a few banks in Charlotte in recent months.
Henry Lee Miller, 55, was arrested after robbing a third bank on Monday morning, police say.
Officers were called to the Wells Fargo Bank in the 200 block of South Sharon Amity Road on reports of a bank robbery. The suspect approached the bank teller, demanded money and fled the scene.
Investigators were able to identify their suspect as Miller, who detectives say is responsible for two other bank robberies in the last month.
Last week, Cotswold Elementary School was placed on lockdown after the SunTrust Bank in the 200 block of South Sharon Amity Road was knocked off.
Officers say Miller also robbed a Wells Fargo branch on North Tryon Street in late-August.
No injuries were reported in any of the robberies.
CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team located and arrested Miller Monday morning; he's charged with three counts of common law robbery.
