CMPD: No credible evidence of threat at Bojangles' Coliseum

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating an alleged bomb threat at Bojangles’ Coliseum Tuesday. 

According to CMPD, an anonymous threat was called into the arena’s staff, who contacted police. A CMPD bomb dog was called to the building and searched the arena. Investigators were unable to locate any explosives and the scheduled Olivia Holt and Backstreet Boys concert was able to start as scheduled. 

CMPD determined there was no evidence found, indicating there was no credible threat to the arena. As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, the concert was ongoing and there were no other threats or criminal incidents reported to police.
