CMPD investigating another assault at Harding High

CMPD investigating assault on campus

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were called to Harding University High School in west Charlotte to investigate an assault Monday afternoon.

School officials would not confirm that an assault occurred, however they did say a female student suffered minor injuries and her parents had been notified.

Paramedics were on campus as a precaution, according to CMPD, but the ambulance left unoccupied.

Last week, a brawl at Harding was captured in cellphone video. A 15-year-old student can be seen in the video tackling a school resource officer. The officer used force to restrain the student who was arrested.

There is no indication that these incidents are related.
