CMPD investigating attempted robbery of Dairy Queen

CMPD is investigating after a northeast Charlotte Dairy Queen was held up at gunpoint.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating after a person attempted to rob a northeast Charlotte business at gunpoint Monday afternoon. 

According to CMPD, officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Dairy Queen in the 3000 block of Prosperity Church Road a little after 5 p.m. 

Police at the scene were told that the suspect entered the business and attempted to rob the clerk at gunpoint. Investigators said nothing was taken and no one was injured before the suspect ran from the store in an unknown direction. 

Police have not released any suspect information or made any arrests. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
