Suspect named in November homicide

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating the homicide of a man in the 2800 block of West Boulevard in the Westover Division.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have named a suspect in a November 2016 west Charlotte murder. 

According to CMPD, Jadarius Irving McCall, 26, was named a suspect in the killing of 33-year-old Deon Davis. 

At 2:19 a.m. on November 11, CMPD responded to a call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, officers located a man inside a vehicle in a parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. 

Medic pronounced the victim dead on the scene. 

While conducting their investigation at the scene, officers were approached by a female who told them that she had been inside of the vehicle with Davis and that she had been shot in the hand. Medic transported the female victim to Carolinas Medical Center where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.  

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective. Detective Hoppe is the lead detective assigned to the case. The public can also call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
