CMPD searching for suspect in two armed robberies

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect in two Charlotte robberies. 

According to CMPD, the suspect robbed the China Fun restaurant on Albemarle Road at gunpoint on November 15. Police were told the suspect entered the restaurant armed with a handgun. He then robbed the clerk before running from the store. 

On Friday, officers responded to a reported armed robbery in northeast Charlotte around 5:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they were told the suspect entered a Smoothie King and robbed the business at gunpoint. 

The suspect in both robberies is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10 with an average build. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap and a green jacket.
