CMPD searching for suspect of LongHorn Steak House shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- CMPD is asking for the public's help finding a man wanted for multiple outstanding warrants related to violent incidents.

According to CMPD, George Irving Rivens, also known as "Tan," has multiple outstanding warrants for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, robbery with a dangerous weapon and discharging a firearm in the city limits.

The warrants are in relation to a shooting that occurred at a Long Horn Steak House in the University City Division on April 6, CMPD says.

The 30-year-old was last seen in the University Area. Officials say he is known to frequent southeast Charlotte.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team at 704-336-VCAT or 911.

UPDATE: George Irving Rivens was arrested by the VCAT without incident.
