CMPD: Serial armed robber holds up south Charlotte Subway

CMPD is investigating after a serial armed robber struck again Thursday night.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A serial armed robber robbed a seventh Charlotte business at gunpoint Thursday, police said. 

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Subway in the 4300 block of Park Road a little before 5 p.m. Police were told by witnesses that a white male entered the restaurant and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.

On Thursday, CMPD released several new surveillance photos of the suspect, who was linked to six other armed robberies by investigators. The suspect’s alleged crimes have occurred all over the city over a three-week span.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5-foot-10 with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a ball cap and gloves during the Subway robbery, as well as sunglasses.
