Concord PD probe social media threat

A local high school is on high alert after social media threats.

CONCORD, N.C. -- Several threats made against a local high school on social media are being taken very seriously, police say.

Monday morning, tweets with threatening messages towards Central Cabarrus High School were discovered, and Concord Police say they're aware of them and are taking them seriously.

The tweets came from an account entitled "Clams Casio" with the handle @clamscasi. The account appears to have been opened only this month.

As of this writing, one tweet remained that appears to threaten an individual, saying in part, "you'll get what's coming to you. #centralheat".

Of of the tweets which initially raised concerns, the first shows a person holding a gun and wearing a mask; the tweet is directed to Central Cabarrus High School's Twitter handle and reads "#centralheat in the gym friday. Get into spirit with my .765's going through your skulls".

Another, again directed to @CentralCabarrus, read "The only think hot about #centralheat is my ******* gun barrel". The tweet again included a picture of a person wearing a mask and holding a gun.
