Eradication operation busts 2 marijuana grow-ops

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. -- As part of an eradication operation, the Chester County Sheriff's Office took to the air and located two separate marijuana growing operations within the county.

On Thursday afternoon, Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators, agents with SLED and the National Guard took to the skies in the SLED helicopter to locate marijuana growing operations.

The first operation was found behind a home in the 2700 block of Ballindam Road. Approximately 15 marijuana plants were found at the location and seized. Arrested at the home was Paul Sanders, III, and Paul Sanders, IV.

That same afternoon, authorities made a second bust in the 3300 block of Lancaster Highway. Another 44 plants were seized from that location, authorities say. Kevin Gaston, Latonia Gaston and Kentovian White were each charged with manufacturing marijuana.
