CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. – Authorities in Chester County are investigating the county’s first homicide of 2017 after a man was stabbed to death early Friday.
According to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported stabbing at a home on Ballpark Drive a little after midnight. When officers arrived, they found 33-year-old Michael Russell Jackson, Jr. at the home. He was pronounced dead by emergency personnel.
Deputies have arrested 55-year-old Michael Roberts, but he has not been formally charged, according to investigators.
Investigators say neither of the men involved lived at the home and the motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.
