Juvenile intentionally set west Charlotte building on fire, CFD says

Charlotte Fire says the building fire in west Charlotte from Saturday afternoon was set intentionally.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Fire says the building fire in west Charlotte from Saturday afternoon was set intentionally.

Around 3:30 p.m, firefighters responded to a call of a structure fire in the 4300 block of Ashley Circle. No one was hurt from the fire since the home was boarded up.

Several hours later, Charlotte Fire said a juvenile admitted responsibility for the intentionally set fire.

Officials did not release the juvenile suspect's identity.
