BURKE COUNTY, N.C. – An Ohio man was arrested after deputies say he attacked a 17-year-old girl at an ATV race in Burke County.
According to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies working security at Steele Creek Park on April 8 were approached by a 17-year-old who said she had been assaulted during the race.
Investigators say the deputies reviewed video footage captured by a GoPro camera and determined that an assault occurred. The suspect, identified as Glenn Daniel McConnell, 56, of Sherrodsville, Ohio, was located and taken to the Magistrate’s Office in Morganton.
The victim presented evidence to authorities and a warrant was issued for McConnell’s arrest. He was charged with assault on a female and placed under a $1,000 bond.
