Man hurt in north Charlotte hit-and-run, police say

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Detectives in north Charlotte are investigating after a man was hit by a car crossing the street early Thursday.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, officers responded to the 200 block of 30th street a little before 1 a.m. When officers arrived, they saw a man suffering from a broken leg.

Police said the man was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by a vehicle that drove away from the scene.

Investigators have not named a suspect in the case. No further information was made available.
