CMPD identifies man fatally shot in east Charlotte

Police in east Charlotte are investigating after a man was found shot to death in a car Tuesday night.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot in east Charlotte Tuesday night.

According to CMPD, officers responded to a 911 call for a shooting in the 4600 block of Eastwycke Place just after 11 p.m. When officers reached the scene, investigators said they found a man, identified as 29-year-old David Sean Lindsay, who had been shot sitting in the front seat of a vehicle in the front yard of a home. Paramedics pronounced Lindsay dead at the scene.

Investigators have not released any suspect information. Animal Control was at the home early Wednesday morning as officers removed two dogs from the residence. 

CMPD is also investigating after two men were killed at a north Charlotte apartment complex Tuesday night.
