Man shot, injured outside Plaza Midwood bar

A person suffered serious injuries after being shot outside popular Plaza Midwood bar Snug Harbor.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police is investigating after a man was seriously injured in a shooting outside a Plaza Midwood bar early Tuesday.

According to CMPD, officers responded to a reported shooting at the Snug Harbor nightclub in the 1200 block of Gordon Street a little before 2 a.m. When officers arrived at the club, they found a male victim, 25-year-old Gregorio Farmer, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to CMC with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say a witness told them that Farmer and another man were arguing before the shooting. Additional witnesses told police that they saw the two men walk outside the building where the shooting occurred. Detectives say the suspect then fled in a vehicle.
