Man wanted for multiple robberies around Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station and assaulted the clerk with a taser.

Police said a man entered the Express Mart on The Plaza around 2 p.m. on Aug. 18 and robbed the clerk. Before leaving the suspect assaulted the clerk with a taser.

Since, police say the same man assaulted an employee and robbed the 7-11 in the 8100 block of Concord Road and the Giant Penny Grocery Store on The Plaza.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20's, about 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a purple doo-rag, white t-shirt, black shorts and black shoes. He also had a full beard and dreads pulled back into a ponytail.
