Caldwell Co. teacher facing felony charges for indecent liberties with child

LENOIR, N.C. -- A middle school teacher was arrested Tuesday and is facing three felony charges of taking indecent liberties with a child.

According to the Lenoir Police Department, an investigation began for "physical assault by a teacher" at William Lenoir Middle School on November 9.

After a multi-week investigation, the case was heard by the Grand Jury of Caldwell County Monday. Following the verdict, 29-year-old Justin Biggs was arrested and charged. He was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $150,000 secure bond for this agency's charges.

"Due to the sensitive nature of this investigation, ages of victims, case integrity, and respect for the victims and families involved; this department will release no victim information of any kind," the Lenoir Police Department said.
