1 hospitalized after shooting in N. Charlotte

One person has been rushed to the hospital, after a shooting at a busy shopping center.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating after a shooting injured one person in north Charlotte Tuesday afternoon. 

According to Medic, one person was taken to CMC after a shooting took place in the 2800 block of West Sugar Creek Road. NBC Charlotte's crew on the scene reports one car has four bullet holes from the shooting.

CMPD says the shooting victim's injuries are not life-threatening.

Officials have not identified the victim or named a suspect in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 704-334-1600.
