Police: Shots fired during robbery at Charlotte convenience store

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Authorities are looking for three men who shot at employees during a robbery at a Charlotte convenience store on Monday night.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said three men entered Jerry's Mini Mart on Mount Holly Road around 9:30 p.m. and robbed the employees at gunpoint.

As the suspects were leaving the store, one of them fired at the employees before running out. An employee returned fire but no one was injured, police said.

All three suspects are described as black men in their early 20s with an average height and build. The thieves had their faces covered during the robbery. One of the robbers did have long dreads, according to police.
