Two Tennessee families will be splitting $20,000 in reward money for the capture of two escaped Ga. inmates last week.
"After a thorough review of the information presented, a decision was made to split (50/50) $20,000 between two Tennessee civilian households. Today, that reward was dispensed," according to information released by the GBI Friday.
During the three-day manhunt for prison escapees Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose, the reward for their capture was as high as $130,000.
According to the GBI, the $20,000 given out Friday is only "the initial stage of the total reward being dispersed and all stakeholders involved continue discussions to determine how the remaining sum will be dispersed."
