Rowan County police ask for public's help finding man on their most wanted list

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Rowan County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in finding a man they have added onto their 'Most Wanted List.'

Police began investigating a shooting incident Wednesday morning around 2:45 a.m. after a 26-year-old man was shot five times.

The man told police that he and 31-year-old Keith Alexander Harley were driving to visit a friend near on the 4000 block of Old Beatty Ford Road near China Grove. 

When the victim got out of the car, Harley pulled out a handgun and began shooting him multiple times as he ran away. 

The victim was transported to Carolina's Medical Center for treatment. 

According to police, Harley is a resident of Charlotte and known to be in the area of Independence Blvd. He has ties to the "Folk Nation" street gang.

Police added Harley to Rowan County Sheriff's Most Wanted List and say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Felony warrants have been obtained for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.
