Seven charged in Lincoln County drug roundup

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. – Seven people were charged in a drug roundup in Lincoln County, officials announced Thursday.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the operation began on April 12 and involved several different avenues, including undercover surveillance, citizen tips, and follow-up investigations into individuals previously charged.

Investigators say that three of the suspects charged remain at large and are sought by deputies.

Winston Shemar Baxter, 18, of Lincolnton is wanted for three felony counts of sell and deliver Schedule VI controlled substance and possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule VI controlled substance.

Pamela Dawn Mayer, 34, of Bessemer City, is wanted for two felony counts each of Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Conspire to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance. 

Brandon Chadrick Aldridge, 24, of Belmont, is wanted for one felony count each of Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Conspire to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance

The four individuals that were arrested are as follows:

Megan Wray Campos, 35, of Vale, was charged with one felony count each of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine and Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance.  She was also charged with one misdemeanor count each of Driving While Licensed Revoked and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She received a $35,000 secured bond.

Dwayne Spivey, 56, of Cherryville, was charged with one felony count of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance.  He received a $2,500 secured bond. 

Donald Curtis Carpenter, 55, of Lincolnton, was charged with one felony count each of Sell and Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance.  He received a $5,000 secured bond.

Kelsey Leigh Cochrane, 33, of Crouse, was charge with one felony count of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and one misdemeanor count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She received a $2,500 secured bond.
