Sheriff: Wanted man struck woman, stabbed man

LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is searching for a homeless man they say struck a woman and stabbed a man who came to her defense. 

Sunday morning around 5:30, deputies were called to Atlantic Lane on reports of a stabbing. 

Deputies determined Michael Odell Fair, 30, struck a woman in the face during an altercation. When David Lecuyer came to her defense, deputies say Fair stabbed him in the face with a large knife. 

Lecuyer was taken to CHS-Lincoln with a severe wound involving his right eye. 

Warrants were obtained for Fair on the charges of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and inflicting serious injury and assault on a female.
