String of robberies occurs Thanksgiving morning

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- As most people begin to warm their ovens, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are busy investigating a string of robberies that occurred early Thanksgiving morning.

Police initially responded to robbery on the 4800 block of Banfshire Road in northeast Charlotte around 6:25 a.m. 

About an hour later, police were called just 3.4 miles away to the 2400 block of Dunlavin Way in regards to a robbery. Victims told police the suspects attempted to rob them in a parking lot around 6 a.m.

While on scene, police were notified of yet another robbery in the 2400 block of Pinkney Avenue. The victims told officers they were at the rear of the residence when armed suspects approached them demanding money. CMPD said one of the suspects struck a victim with a firearm, causing minor injuries.

In all three cases, the suspects had similar descriptions, CMPD said.
