Suspect arrested in Chesterfield Co. murder, home invasion, source says

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. -- A source tells NBC Charlotte that a 21-year-old suspected of being involved in a murder and home invasion in Pageland was arrested Wednesday.

Deputies say 21-year-old Daquan Timmons is believed to have shot and killed 25-year-old Darius Robinson during a home invasion on April 23.

According to the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, a woman came to the home on Airport Road, outside of Pageland, and asked to buy drugs.

Officials said Robinson told the woman he didn't have anything. Simultaneously, two masked and armed men made their way into the home.

Robinson was murdered after getting shot in the chest and hit with the gun, officials say. The three suspects fled the scene in a gray, older model Mercedes-Benz, deputies say.

Deputies say Timmons is believed to have robbed Robinson of cash and other items in the home.

Timmons is facing charges of murder, as well as possession of a weapon during a violent crime, deputies say. Anyone with information on Timmons or the other two suspects involved in the case are asked to call 843-623-9394.
