Woman charged in crash that killed teen

All lanes of WT Harris were closed Tuesday morning after a fatal crash near the intersection with Grier Road.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested a woman in connection with a fatal crash in northeast Charlotte last month.

According to CMPD, Kristin Renee Bradley was charged with felony death by vehicle, felony serious injury by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, driving while impaired, reckless driving, and driving without a license in connection with a crash that killed 18-year-old Kasey Anne Vance on February 14.

Police say that Bradley and two others were involved in a shooting in the 3600 block of Arklow Road. According to investigators, Bradley sped away from the scene in a 2010 Honda Civic and was being followed by the shooting victim’s father when she lost control of the vehicle on East W.T. Harris Boulevard near Rocky River Road. Police say the vehicle slid off the right side of the road and hit several trees before rolling onto its right side.

Vance was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Bradley and a second passenger were taken to the hospital with injuries.
