CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Hundreds of visitors flocked to the EpiCentre in uptown on Tuesday to be a part of MSNBC'S broadcasts from the Democratic National Convention.

The network is hosting several shows from a special set outdoors and inside restaurant BlackFinn.

Each day through the convention, "Way Too Early with Willie Geist" and "Morning Joe" will go live from BlackFinn.

Audience members lined up starting at 4:30 a.m. to be a part of both shows Tuesday. Many of the people with whom Newschannel 36 spoke were from out of town, including as far away as Missouri.

Actor and musician Jeff Bridges swung by to talk politics and mix cocktails with the hosts.

Newschannel 36 asked him about his performance at Monday's CarolinaFest.

"The rain shut us down halfway through," he said. "I saw my bro in the audience. I said, 'Come up here, Beau, let's entertain these people,' and we got to do a little rain dance."

"I was hoping to do a kind of reverse-rain dance, but we didn't learn the reverse part," he said.

Bridges said he also was in Tampa last week for the Republican National Convention.
