CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Below are five things to know to stay up-to-date on the Democratic National Convention in uptown Charlotte for Wednesday, September 5.

1. DECISION DAY FOR A MOVE?
If the Democratic National Convention does decide to move Thursday’s events from Bank of America Stadium to Time Warner Cable Arena, the wide held belief is that decision must come Wednesday.  How the DNC decides to smoothly go from 73,000 seats to 18,000 or so at TWC Arena is unclear.  Thursday’s forecast still calls for a chance of showers.

2.  OBAMA ARRIVES
President Barack Obama will arrive in Charlotte via Air Force One Wednesday afternoon.  First Lady Michelle Obama has been staying in Ballantyne, and it’s believed the couple will stay there Wednesday night.  The couple’s schedule for Wednesday?  Unknown, but they could even attend the festivities.

3.  MORE PROTESTS?
Tuesday afternoon saw a (small) protest uptown that caused traffic delays and media outlets to go into a frenzy.  All in all, though, there was little harm done.  Will that be the case again Wednesday, or will the ‘Occupy’ movement heat up and cause some real disruption?

4.  CLINTON TAKES SPOTLIGHT
Michelle Obama’s night was Tuesday. Barack Obama’s night is Thursday. That leaves Wednesday night for former President Bill Clinton.  His speaking time is 10:30 p.m., and the Democrats are hoping his message is a powerful one.

5.  A-LIST EVENTS
Wednesday will be packed with several intriguing events.  Madeleine Albright will hold a forum at The Knight Theater.  Tom Brokaw and Ariana Huffington will attend a Huffington Post panel at The Ritz-Carlton.  The Foo Fighters will attend a Rock the Vote party at The Fillmore.  Flo Rida and the B-52s will take their acts to event stages, too.
