No children hurt after car crashes into daycare

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- No children were hurt after an elderly man crashed into a daycare center in southwest Charlotte early Tuesday evening.

The crash took place around 5:30 p.m. at the Gateway Academy daycare at 2726 West Arrowood Road.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said the man lost control of his car pulling out of a Wal-Mart parking lot and crashed into the daycare.

The man suffered minor injuries, according to MEDIC. No one at the daycare was hurt.
