NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Several federal agencies teamed-up set out to bust fake NFL merchandise, and ended-up netting a seizure valued at more than $21 million.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the NFL says 'Operation Team Player' seized $21.6 million-worth of counterfeit NFL merchandise.

The operation began in June and targeted international shipments, officials say, as they entered targeted warehouses, stores, flea markets and online and street vendors.

Among the 202,000 items seized are fake jerseys, ball caps, t-shirts, jackets and other souvenirs.

Law enforcement made 50 arrests, three at the federal level and 47 at state and local levels, in connection with Operation Team Player.
