CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- According to a new study, four local counties are in the top 10 healthiest in North Carolina.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released their annual 2013 County Health Rankings early Wednesday morning.
Researchers ranked counties based on a number of factors, including mortality, education and behaviors like smoking, exercising and drinking alcohol.
Here in North Carolina, Watauga County came in at No. 3, Union County comes in at No. 5, Mecklenburg County ranks No. 6 and Cabarrus rounds out the list at 10.
