MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- A NASCAR driver has been arrested on domestic violence charges.
Mooresville police arrested Travis Kvapil, 37, Tuesday night for allegedly assaulting his wife in their home.
Police responded after receiving a 911 call.
Kvapil is charged with assault on a female and false imprisonment. He was booked into jail in Iredell County and appeared in court Wednesday. He is now free on bond.
Kvapil drives the No. 93 car for BK Racing. A representative from BK Racing said the team has "no comment at this time" on Kvapil's arrest.
